Description
ULTEM 1000 is an unfilled grade ULTEM. In addition to being UV and gamma radiation resistant, ULTEM 1000 also retains 85% of its tensile strength after 10,000 hours of immersion in boiling water and 100% of its tensile strength after 2,000 cycles in a steam autoclave at 270 F.
ULTEM 1000 is FDA, USDA, and NSF-compliant, as well as USP Class VI-compliant. With very low thermal conductivity, ULTEM 100 is used in a variety of structural components requiring high strength and rigidity at elevated temperatures.
