PSU (Polysulfone)

QUADRANT PSU 1000, SUSTASON PSU, TECASON S, THERMALUX, UDEL, UDEL RESIN, UDEL P1700

Description

PSU (Polysulfone) is an amber semi-transparent, heat-resistant, high performance thermoplastic made from UDEL Resin.

Offering above-average mechanical and electrical properties, as well as improved chemical resistance properties, UDEL PSU is able to retain its properties in temperatures ranging from -150°F (-100°C) to 300°F (150°C).

Additionally, PSU has excellent radiation stability and maintains high resistance to acidic and salt solutions, is hydrolysis-resistant for continuous use in hot water and steam at temperatures up to 300°F (150°C) and its flame resistance is UL 94-V-0 at 1/4th inch thickness (6.35mm) and UL 94-V-2 at 1/8th inch thickness (3.175 mm).

PSU 1000 is a suitable replacement for PC 1000 (Polycarbonate) in higher temperatures or when improved chemical resistance is required.

In many applications, UDEL PSU is preferred over stainless steel parts or aluminum as the material is 7 times lighter than stainless steel and can also be steam-cleaned in areas like chemical labs.
