HYDEX PBT can be either FDA or non-FDA approved and is characterized by good impact strength, a low coefficient of friction and superior chemical resistance.
The maximum continuous use temperature for HYDEX PBT is 221°F (105°C). In addition to having a lower lubrication necessity than most metals, HYDEX PBT is also much quieter in factory settings. HYDEX PBT can also be PTFE-filled for an even lower coefficient of friction.
HYDEX PBT is also available as Hydex 4101L in a bearing grade.
