Fluorosint 500 has a slightly lower coefficient of thermal expansion than Fluorosint 207, and exhibits about 1/3rd the deformation of Fluorosint 207.
Fluorosint 500 has better wear characteristics than unmodified PTFE (PolyTetraFluouroEthylene) and is non-abrasive to most mating materials, making it an excellent choice for seals at higher temperatures.
